One of the more pleasant parts of working here is the chance to observe local, grassroots efforts to counter the structures of oppression that have long been in place. My project partner, University of Washington I-School graduate Kendra Wright, and I are based at a K-12 school in Zapote, a rural southern community on the edge of the Pacific Ocean.
