Welcome to the ACRL New England Chapter News Online. We have reached a milestone: our 100th issue! In addition to the newsletter's usual account of current activities and business, this issue features a history of the Chapter gleaned from selected newsletters. Paul Roske, ACRL/NEC Archivist, contributes "Chapter Annals: Our History Derived From Past Newsletters," a review of highlights from the first, twenty-fifth, fiftieth, and seventy-fifth issues. Chapter Treasurer Marilyn Steinberg offers an account of ACRL dues and fees in "Where Does Your $ Go?" Read about what the interest groups are doing, plan for the spring conference, celebrate the legacy of ACRL/NEC, and get involved! The Chapter's officers for 2003-2004 are: President, Linda Collins (Harvard University); Vice President and President-Elect, Colleen Anderson (Bryant College); Past-President, Helena Rodrigues (Johnson & Wales University); Secretary, Florence Doksansky (Brown University); Treasurer, Marilyn Steinberg (Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences); and Members-at-Large, Mary C. MacDonald (University of Rhode Island) and Martha Rice Sanders (Providence College). The News is published three times a year by the New England Chapter of the Association of College and Research Libraries. New issues will appear on this site in September, January, and May. Contributions and news releases for the Winter, 2004 issue should be sent to Christine Turner, Digital Services and Instruction Librarian, W.E.B. Du Bois Library, University of Massachusetts, Amherst MA, 01003, or cturner@library.umass.edu. Copy deadline for the next issue is January 12, 2003.
