Information Technology Interest GroupNancy George The Information Technology Interest Group (ITIG) is dedicated to providing opportunities for academic librarians in New England to talk about information technology issues. We meet four times a year in various libraries around New England and have featured presentations by librarians on a variety of topics including: managing electronic serials, PDAs and libraries, managing electronic resources statistics, and XML. This year we look forward to meetings on providing library resources to the distance learner, campus portals and libraries, and opportunities to learn about current trends in information technology. We invite you to attend ITIG meetings to learn more about information technology and meet other librarians interested in these issues. ITIG meeting notices are posted on the ACRL/NEC and ITIG web sites (please see http://www.acrlnec.org), the ACRL/NEC e-mail mailing list and the ITIG mailing list. The ITIG web site also contains information on a variety of information technology topics. For more information contact: Elaine Bean (ebean@rivier.edu) or Nancy George (ngeorge@salemstate.edu), ITIG Co-Chairs, 2003-2004. |
