Continuing Education Committee Chair Opening

The ACRL/NEC Board welcomes member applications to fill the
position of Continuing Education Committee Chair. This is an appointed
1 year position to be filled by an ACRL/NEC chapter member. Duties of the Continuing Education Chair include recommending appointees for the Continuing Education Committee and working with the Committee to carry out long-range planning on the continuing education needs of the membership. Responsibilities involved with the position include attending 4 quarterly Board meetings, the Continuing Education Committee meetings, the annual ACRL/NEC conference, and any programs or meetings planned by the Committee.

Candidates should demonstrate strong communication and planning skills. We wish to fill this position with a candidate who holds a strong desire to make a contribution to the ACRL/NEC mission of providing opportunities for the professional growth of academic and research librarians in New England.
