Women's Studies Interest Group

Chris Smith, Chair
Boston University

The Women's Studies Interest Group held no programs during the 2003-2004 fiscal year. Despite the inactivity, the members voiced their support for continuing the group. Several offered ideas for programs and activities, and one member has stepped forward to serve as Co-Chair. Please welcome Nancy Dennis, Outreach Librarian at Salem State College.

Future Plans:
The Co-chairs are investigating possibilities for a fall program in Maine. We have had an offer by one member to host a program featuring published and unpublished works of several women at Colby College. We are also looking into visiting the Margaret Chase Smith Library in Skowhegan. We are also discussing future directions for the group.
The Women's Studies Interest Group web page includes annual reports of activities, detailed reports of recent programs, announcements for any upcoming programs, and information on how to join the WSIG e-mail distribution list.
