Women's Studies Program, October 15th,
2004
The Women's Studies Interest Group is having a program at the American Antiquarian Society Library in Worcester on Friday, October 15th from 10:00 AM to 12:00. We will gather at 10:00 for refreshments at the Goddard-Daniels House at 190 Salisbury Street, directly across the street from Antiquarian Hall. The program will begin at 10:30 at the Library, at 185 Salisbury Street. We expect that it will conclude no later than 12:30. I have listed several Worcester restaurants for those who want to have lunch in Worcester. The American Antiquarian Society has a superb collection of women's and girl's diaries and letters, manuscript records of women's voluntary associations, nineteenth-century literature on women's rights and related issues, an excellent cook book collection, images of women working, children's books aimed at girls, portraits of women, illustrations in books by women, etc. The AAS website is: Directions and map are at: Parking is on Regent Street or on Montvale Road, just up from the Goddard Daniels House.
