The Communications Committee Needs a New Co-Chair

President ACRL/NEC

The ACRL/NEC Board welcomes member applications to fill the position of Communications Committee Co-Chair. This is an appointed one year position to be filled by an ACRL/NEC chapter member. The primary responsibility of the Communications Committee Co-Chair is to serve as the editor and producer of the Chapter's electronic newsletter, which complements the web site to report Chapter activities to the membership. This Co-Chair also produces the bi-annual Chapter Topics submission to ACRL National. Other responsibilities include attending ACRL/NEC Board meetings, Communications Committee meetings, and the annual ACRL/NEC conference.

Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication, collaboration, planning, writing and editing skills. We wish to fill this position with a candidate who holds a strong desire to make a contribution to the ACRL/NEC mission. A detailed description of the role and duties involved with this position is found at section III: 30 and III:31 (0404) of the ACRL/NEC Manual.

Please send a 1-2 page summary of your qualifications along with a statement of your reason for desiring the position to:
