Welcome to the Spring edition of ACRL New England Chapter News Online. Another successful conference is now behind us! If you were not able to attend the Annual conference, read the highlights of the afternoon sessions courtesy of our roving student reporters (left). Speaker and afternoon session materials are also available from our website. The special conference issue of our newsletter is also available online. The next activity for the chapter is the annual retreat, a time for the ACRL/NEC Board, Special Interest Group Chairs and other interested members to meet, exchange ideas, and begin planning next year's programs. This year's retreat will be held June 5 at Gordon College in Wenham, MA.

It is also a time when we welcome the chapter's newly elected officers. This year, the Chapter officers are: President, Christine Turner (University of Massachusetts); Vice President and President-Elect, Judith Pinnolis (Brandeis University); Past-President, Nancy George (Salem State College); Secretary, Mary Piorun (UMass Medical School); Treasurer, Marilyn Steinberg (Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences); and Members-at-Large, Janet DiPaolo (University of Massachusetts - Boston) and Sandra Rothenberg (Framingham State College).

For a complete listing of events, visit our Chapter Calendar, or visit the interest group web sites to learn how you can participate. Additional reports and announcements are included in this newsletter.

The News is published three times a year by the New England Chapter of the Association of College and Research Libraries. Contributions and news releases for the Fall, 2006 issue should be sent to Beatrice Pulliam, Reference Librarian, Phillips Memorial Library, Providence College, 549 River Avenue, Providence, RI 02918-0001, or bpulliam@providence.edu. Copy deadline for the next issue is September 22, 2006. Comments and suggestions for the News Online are always welcome.
