2007 Annual Conference Planning is Underway! Judith Pinnolis, Brandeis University The ACRL New England Chapter Planning Committee is looking for a few additional members to help participate in planning our Annual Meeting this coming Spring, 2007. We had a terrific brainstorming session of our committee members in August at UMASS Boston. We have been moving forward working on the theme of this year’s coming conference, but will still need plenty of people to volunteer –– everything from help with inviting speakers to help on the day of the event. What are the interesting topics? Who will be the dynamic speakers? What great ideas will emerge? If you have ideas, are excited about the future, and are interested in helping plan for next year’s program, please contact me as soon as possible at pinnolis@brandeis.edu There is still plenty of room for anyone to help out. We have a low impact listserv with discussion of timely information, and a wiki to get things organized for such a geographically diverse group. I hope you will join me and the others who have said "yes" to the ACRL Planning Committee. Our next planning meeting will be held in early November. The date and location will be announced shortly on the Chapter listserv. Please let me know you’d like to join and plan to come to our meeting to ask questions, and to find out more. Please contact me by email pinnolis@brandeis.edu or call me at 781-736-4705. |
