There are currently eight interest groups within the ACRL New England Chapter. Programs offered
by the Interest Groups are usually small gatherings of anywhere from 10 to 30 people who share
their expertise or interests in a particular area. Meetings are open to all; registration fees are minimal,
usually just enough to cover refreshments and materials. Many programs are offered for free.

ACCESS SERVICES INTEREST GROUP (ASIG)

Starting in January, 2001, this is the newest interest group; formed by Linda Collins at Harvard, Linda Roscoe at Lesley and Ellen Royalty at UMass Boston. The group will focus on information sharing, offering programs, hosting discussions and providing a forum for all access services staff. Topics for discussion may include but are not limited to: student employment, building safety and security, copyright and reserves, patron empowerment, customer service and the changing role of circulation/access services. For more information, visit the ASIG web site.
