Information for Library School Students

Benefits of student membership and involvement in ACRL New England Chapter:

• Very cheap membership fee — $5.00 per year!! (Free if you are a member of ACRL
  National!)
  
• Reduced registration fees to Chapter conferences
  
• Students have the opportunity to attend a Chapter conference for free as a sponsored
  student from your library school (contact the ACRL/NEC Member-at-large for details).
  
• Fabulous networking opportunities — get to know librarians through involvement in one or
  more interest groups.
  
• Get involved and add to your resume! There are numerous opportunities, particularly within
  the interest groups, to write articles, create Web pages, work on committees, and plan
  programs.
  
• Keep up with events and job opportunities in New England through ACRL/NEC listservs!
