This year’s annual conference theme is:
Hail to the Exhale: Choosing Pace
In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more about this year’s theme. We want to acknowledge that while creativity and inspiration abound, people are also contending with and navigating unprecedented turmoil at a rate and pace that literally leaves one breathless. While the demands soar and the resources often plumet, there is still cause to pause, and to exhale.
Academic librarians and library professionals make a lasting impact on their institutions and communities. As library professionals poised to adapt, we proceed as keepers of the most democratic thing in the world: intellectual freedom. In the remaining months of our FY26 academic year, we’re excited to invite session proposals that reflect the resilience, creativity, and forward-thinking that have allowed libraries to thrive. Together, we can create space to exhale and embrace the challenges ahead.
A call for proposals will go out in the next few weeks of February 2026.
We look forward to connecting with you in the coming months! Please feel free to share this information with anyone who might be interested!
